How to safely reset an Old Android phone before giving it away!
- Don't just do a factory reset. That is not safe and is the equivalent of just reformatting a hard drive the data is still recoverable if you know how.. Make sure the phone Battery is fully charged.
- First go to Settings on you Android Phone - Security.
- Now ENCRYPTE THE DEVISE this may take awhile but it will safe you later.
- After encryption is complete you can now proceed with the factory reset.
This is not something I figured out. Cannot take the credit for it, found it on yahoo and felt this is important to share. Once I find something for IPhone you can be assured I will post it.
